In the Spring of 2008, my husband and I had the opportunity to purchase acreage in rural northwestern Pennsylvania, ending almost thirty years of global corporate wandering. To say we experienced a culture shock by moving from busy southern California to the Allegheny mountain region would be an understatement. But, we quickly fell in love with the magic tranquility of the area.
Inspired by the straightforward nature of our country neighbors, Women on Tractors is a running commentary on contemporary American culture, as seen through the eyes of a well-traveled, well-educated city-girl, turned country. The reflections are folksy, feisty, and hopefully, insightful.
